Below we've briefly outlined the next steps to becoming a student. For assistance starting the process, call 315-498-2221 or email [email protected]

Step 1 - Apply to the College

Our application is simple, easy, and approved for instant admission. Visit our apply website to fill out the application. If you have any questions as you're filling out the application, reach out to 315-498-2221 or [email protected]

Step 2 - Send us Your Transcripts

The next step is to send us your high school transcripts or transcripts from any other school you've attended. For questions about transcripts, reach out to 315-498-2221 or [email protected]

Step 3 - Apply for Financial Aid

Every student attending college should apply for financial aid. To start that process, visit our financial aid website. Be sure to apply for the FAFSA and continue on to apply for TAP and the Excelsior Scholarship if you're a New York State resident. For questions or assistance applying for aid, reach out to 315-498-2000 or email [email protected]

Step 4 - Register for Classes

Once you've applied for aid, you're ready to register for classes. You'll want to meet with an advisor that's housed in one of our 8 Schools at OCC. Don't know which school you're in? Message us on social media @onondagacc, call 315-498-2000 or chat with us on our website.

Step 5 - Send in Your Immunization Records

New York requires students to submit records of their immunizations. Request that your doctor send your records to [email protected]

Note: Students who are attending OCC from out of county have the additional step of submitting a certificate of residence. This is important to make sure you're being charged for tuition at the appropriate rate. A full list of steps to apply for the certificate of residence, can be found on our tuition website
